Institutional Development Plan

IDP 2024–2029 · Sikkim Government College Burtuk · East Sikkim

The Institutional Development Plan is the backbone of the reform process that the New Education Policy envisages for Higher Education Institutions. It outlines the goals, progress and outcomes that the institution will carry out, and future progress will be dependent on how well they deliver in line with their IDPs.

The College has formulated an IDP for 5 years (2024–2029), keeping in view the short-term and long-term Academic and Infrastructural development. The College envisions to enlighten, empower and enable learners and ensure that students are properly facilitated for qualitative improvement. The topmost priority is to enhance academic facilities and to build sufficient infrastructure like a playground, multi-purpose hall, well-equipped ICT classroom, specialised Library, computer centre, separate hostels for boys and girls, Academic block with Faculty rooms, and a lush green eco-friendly campus.
