Research Overview
SGC Burtuk encourages a culture of inquiry among both faculty and students, with research spanning the Humanities, Commerce, and Sciences. Faculty members regularly contribute papers to peer-reviewed journals, present at national and regional seminars, and undertake minor research projects supported by the college and state bodies.
The Research Cell coordinates these efforts, helping faculty and students access funding opportunities, plan field studies, and publish their findings. The college continues to invest in strengthening its research infrastructure and mentoring a new generation of student researchers.

Studies on regional culture, society, and language in the Sikkim Himalaya.
Commerce & Economics
Research on local enterprise, financial literacy, and rural livelihoods.
